Monarchs White U12 Girls Win in Richmond

The Monarchs White are back to their winning ways as they bring home another championship! After winning both matches on the first day of their tournament 4-1, the ladies had to overcome adversity during their third match to battle back to a 1-1 tie after trailing for much of the match. Championship hopes were preserved with a beautiful long range strike from Alana Paul with 2 minutes left in the match!

The fourth and final match got off to yet another slow start for the Monarchs as they went down 1-0 in the first 2 minutes of the match. The lead was preserved for much of the first half and the team started to see their championship dreams begin to dwindle when, Paul, once again put the team on her shoulders and opened up the scoring for the Monarchs with another brilliant strike from long range. With the match tied and hope restored, the Monarchs found their form and tallied an additional 5 unanswered goals, securing the victory and the championship!

The championship win earns the Monarchs and automatic qualification for the Jefferson Cup, one of the largest and most competitive tournaments on the east coast. This will be Coach Jon's first return to the Jefferson Cup after winning the U11 girls championship in 2013. The team will work hard over the winter to have the girls ready to compete in March to bring home yet another championship trophy!

1-2-3 FSC!
